ballot city
If we believe in the potential of democracy, the ballot should never be empty of
interesting and important community-driven initiatives.
Government responsibility:
Corporate reposibility:
Real democracy:
Environmental improvement:
saving older trees
banning leaf-blowers
banning pesticides and herbicides
Transportation:
safe streets
Infrastructure:
Technology:
Community education:
Housing:
Food:
Education:
Living wage:
Funding by Bonds:
etc.
How can we get this to happen?
One idea:
A transparemt collection of small, limited donations to pay local, unionized, professional signature
collectors, to get the issue on the ballot.
Next important idea:
Direct democratic control of the city by the people, through online voting.
We practice direct democratic control, of anything we call community, through online self-organization and voting.
